'... They make nice fairy tales, but how do you sort out what's true and important and worthwhile in a relationship when you're in this artificial atmosphere?'
'We do get over terrible times. We are built to do that. Most people learn again to laugh and love and respond to beauty and fight ugliness, even though they've lost a kind of joy they'll never get back. There's an unlit corner in their heart and no light will ever penetrate to it. It will always be dark. That's why it's so important to be close to those we love, not to take them for granted, not to give up when we're baffled by how complicated it can be to understand and be understood by another person. That's why you should open up to people, share your feelings with them because that's what make us close and loving and human. If you don't you may wake up one day and find your chances for love and closeness gone, and that's another kind of death. Tragedy is no excuse, however long it takes, we do recover.'
'It's just a wonder how a human organism could function when so full of grief and self-hatred, but it keeps going. Isn't it amazing how tough we really are?'
'Unhappiness isn't ever puny. It's always bigger than we are, at least until we can look back on it and turn it into a Grimm's fairy tale.'
"People will forget what you said, People will forget what you did, But people will never forget how you made them feel" -provided by Johanes R. H.
